Rocío Hurtado, MD

Dr.  Hurtado is no stranger to burnout nor to the grueling demands of a medical career. With over 26 years in the field, and a large clinical practice at Harvard's Mass General Hospital,  she founded MD Catalyst in 2018 with a distinct purpose: to support and help other physicians struggling to find respite, fulfillment and a way back to  a growth-filled path and out of the depletion and profound exhaustion that so many of us face under the current demands.

She holds dual certifications in  Executive Coaching and Wellness coaching (ICF-accredited programs), and maintains a full medical practice. She  is faculty at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health and  has additional training in Negotiation from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.  In addition to her busy clinical schedule, she serves as an Internal  Physician Coach for the MGH Physician Center for Well-being since 2019. She is well-versed in both individual physician coaching and group coaching for physicians and has led a highly successful series on Career Development for both trainees and faculty in Boston.

As the  mother of twins, she values the simple yet deep joys of spontaneity and engagement. She is a firm believer in the healing power of nature, family, the arts and our shared humanity.
